Our Story

Kristen and Owen met in Dallas the summer before senior year when they interned at the same company—and even worked on the same project. What began as two interns who worked well together quickly became something more. Near the end of summer, after a work trip to Houston, Owen asked Kristen on a date; she said yes, and their first date ended with a Braum’s bag of burgers and a milkshake. As summer wrapped up, they started thinking through long distance—Kristen at TCU and Owen at OU. When Kristen came to OU for the first football game of the season to visit a friend, that visit became the start of their relationship. After graduation, they spent a summer working together at Pine Cove’s Towers camp in Tyler, Texas, where their relationship grew as they served and cared for the littlest kids through the silliest (and most exhausting) moments. In September 2023, Owen moved to Dallas to begin full-time work, marking the first time they lived in the same area—after months of working at the same place (again), weekend trips to Tulsa and College Station, ski trips, and football games, it was time for the next step. In July 2025, Owen proposed at Flippen Park in Dallas, just around the corner from where they had their first date—a preview of the joy and love from family and friends they hope to experience on their wedding day and throughout marriage. Thank you for being part of their journey and for celebrating with them at the wedding.

We invite you to dress up with us. Our dress code is black-tie optional. For gentlemen, a tuxedo or dark suit is preferred (tie optional). For ladies, a floor-length or midi dress is encouraged. Please kindly refrain from jeans, sneakers and cowboy boots.
